Data Deletion
Last updated: July 31, 2026
You can delete your Echoia account and all data associated with it at any time. Your account is deactivated immediately and permanently erased after a 30-day grace period (during which you can change your mind by simply logging back in).
1. Delete your account from the app (recommended)
- Sign in at app.echoia.io.
- Open Settings โ Account.
- In the Danger zone section, click Delete my account and confirm.
Your account is deactivated immediately โ every social connection is paused and Echoia stops accessing your platforms. After a 30-day grace period, everything is permanently erased. Logging back in within those 30 days cancels the deletion and restores your account.
The permanent erasure covers:
- your user profile and login credentials;
- your workspaces and team memberships;
- all connected social accounts, including the access tokens we stored (encrypted) โ Echoia loses all access to your social profiles;
- your posts, drafts, scheduled content and uploaded media;
- cached comments, direct messages, analytics and listening data;
- billing linkage (invoices already issued are retained by our payment processor, Stripe, as required by accounting law).
2. Request deletion by email
If you cannot access your account, email contact@echoia.io from the address associated with your account, with the subject "Data deletion request". We process requests within 30 days (usually much faster) and confirm once completed.
3. Removing Echoia's access from a platform
You can also revoke Echoia's access directly in each platform's settings (e.g. Facebook/Instagram "Business integrations", Google account permissions, X connected apps). When a platform notifies us of a removal, we deactivate or delete the corresponding connection on our side automatically.
4. Questions
For anything related to your data, see our Privacy Policy or contact contact@echoia.io.
