Bluesky is open, free to read, and connects with an app password instead of an OAuth dance. It is the least trouble of the ten, and the one most tools skip.

- ·Detect links and mentions so they are clickable, which the protocol requires you to declare
- ·Track followers
- ·Feed the Listening add-on at no provider cost, because the public API is free
[ WHAT IT DOES NOT ]
- ·Publish video. The protocol supports it; our integration does not yet.
- ·Send or read direct messages.
These are the platform's limits, not ours. Any tool telling you otherwise is either breaking their terms or estimating.
[ ONE THING WORTH KNOWING ]
Links do not become links on their own
On Bluesky, a URL in your text stays plain text unless the post declares exactly which characters form the link, counted in bytes rather than characters. Get the count wrong with an accent in the sentence and the link lands on the wrong word. It is the kind of detail that only shows up after publishing.
